BTPM Classical 94.5 is Buffalo Toronto Public Media’s around-the-clock classical music service. The station presents symphonies, chamber music, opera, choral works, and concert broadcasts, with local hosts and an ongoing broadcast partnership with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
WNED-FM signed on at 7:00 a.m. on April 18, 1977, establishing a full-time classical service on 94.5 FM. Over the following decades it moved from mono to stereo and from vinyl records to digital production while retaining a locally curated identity for listeners on both sides of the U.S.–Canada border.
The service is heard on 94.5 FM in Buffalo and 89.7 WNJA in Jamestown. BTPM has announced a future frequency realignment, but its official listening page still identifies these frequencies at the date of this review. The player uses the official WNED-FM MP3 stream; schedule times follow Eastern Time.

Our verification method
We match the call sign, licensed frequency, city of license, and facility identity against FCC data. We then compare the station name, format, schedule, and related signals with the station’s official website and test the listed stream in a browser-compatible player. Regional restrictions, breaking news, and live sports can still change availability or programming.
