The regular weekday WMGK schedule begins with the Paul Kelly Morning Show from 6 to 10 a.m. Eric Johnson follows from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Andre Gardner hosts afternoons from 2 to 7 p.m., and Tony Harris is heard from 7 p.m. to midnight. The recently played songs section is connected to WMGK’s StreamTheWorld/Triton metadata feed. It updates independently from the audio player and lets listeners identify or copy the artist and title of a track they heard. Short station imaging, commercials, or incomplete metadata may be filtered out of the public history.
WMGK broadcasts on 102.9 FM and is licensed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station operates as an FCC Class B facility with 8.9 kW effective radiated power and serves Philadelphia and surrounding communities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. WMGK-HD3 carries the separate Playa Philadelphia service; it is not a simulcast of the classic-rock program.
The frequency’s history reaches back to Philadelphia’s early FM era. The station used the WPEN-FM call sign before becoming WMGK in 1975, when the “Magic” identity launched with a softer album-oriented sound. Its programming evolved through adult contemporary and 1970s hits before WMGK established its present classic rock format in the early 2000s.
WMGK is owned by Beasley Media Group. Its current Philadelphia group also includes WMMR 93.3, WBEN-FM 95.7, WPEN 97.5, WXTU 92.5, and WWBD 860 AM. Sister-station links appear below whenever the corresponding station already has a page in this directory, so the relationships do not need to be entered again on every page.
The contact block contains WMGK’s Bala Cynwyd studio address, office number, on-air/contest line, and verified Facebook, Instagram, and X profiles. The official station site remains the source for contests, events, app support, and last-minute programming changes.
