WFUV 90.7 FM is Fordham University’s noncommercial music station in New York. Weekdays center on adult alternative and music discovery, while the weekend schedule opens the format to Celtic music, freeform selections, British releases, roots music, and Fordham sports coverage.
WFUV first signed on at 90.7 FM on July 7, 1947, and the station was formally dedicated on October 26 of that year. It spent its first 58 years in Keating Hall’s third-floor studios before moving to renovated space in the building in 2005. The service grew from a college station into a professionally operated, listener-supported public radio outlet while continuing to train Fordham students.
The official service includes the main WFUV stream, a music-focused channel, and separate live feeds used for selected Fordham sports events. On 90.7 FM, listeners hear a New York-focused mix that gives new releases, established artists, local reporting, and specialty hosts room within one weekly schedule.
